In addition he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a fellow in Applied Functional Science from the Gray Institute.

Enjoys mountain biking, obstacle course races, hiking, keeping up with his two children and coaching youth rugby.
